Lindahl, Buffs just shy of lead after 18 at JCCC
Michaela Lindahl and the No. 24 Milligan University women’s golf team are in the runner-up spots through the first 18 holes of the East Tennessee Collegiate, which took place Monday at Johnson City Country Club.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2020) – Michaela Lindahl and the No. 24 Milligan University women's golf team are in the runner-up spots through the first 18 holes of the East Tennessee Collegiate, which took place Monday at Johnson City Country Club.
Lindahl is only two strokes back after carding 73 while the Buffs are only six strokes back after carding 314. Meryl Castle and Alayna Perryman also managed scores in the 70's, with 76 and 79, respectively, good for fifth and 11th individually.
Jenny Simonsen leads the Milligan "B" team with a 79, landing her 11th with Perryman.
Through the first 18 holes, the No. 24 Buffs only trail No. 6 University of the Cumberlands. Cumberlands tallied a 308 team score and is led by Carlee Shoemaker's 71, the low score of the day.
Round two is set for Tuesday back here at Johnson City Country Club.
