The Milligan University Athletics program has a proud heritage of top student-athletes participating in competitive intercollegiate athletics. In the past 10 years, Milligan's teams have won more than 40 conference regular-season titles. Additionally, more than 30 teams have qualified for national tournaments, and Milligan student-athletes have earned over 250 individual national qualifiers. The university maintains high standards for its athletes and has produced numerous national champions, All-Americans, All-Conference performers and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Athletics play a key role in molding and shaping the college experience at Milligan. We want our athletes to excel, not only in their individual sport, but also as Champions of Character in life. In 2006, Milligan received the NAIA Institutional Champion of Character Award from the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Student-athletes are asked to accept the five core character values of the NAIA, including respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. Throughout the year, student-athletes are involved with local service projects and volunteer their time at local schools and hospitals.
Milligan's intercollegiate programs compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) as a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
