KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Wednesday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that Kirsten Geary was named the NAIA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week after her 10th-place finish out of 209 runners at the Pirate Cross Country Invitational, hosted by East Carolina University.

She posted a time of 21:58.9 to finish as the top NAIA time and help the women's squad to a fourth-place finish as a squad. This is Geary's first NAIA Cross Country Runner of the Week honor in her first year as a member of the Lady Buffs.
