WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced on Monday afternoon that first-year Milligan women's cross country runner, Kirsten Geary, was named the conference's Runner of the Week for her efforts at the Pirate Cross Country Invitational in Greenville, N.C. 

Geary posted a 10th-place finish at the event hosted by East Carolina University, managing a 21:58.9 time. She helped push the Lady Buffs to an impressive fourth-place result out of 20 attending programs, with Milligan being the only non-NCAA Division I participant.

The whole squad will be back on the course on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville, Tenn. for the NAIA Appalachian Challenge.
