Lady Buffs XC Repeats at No. 1 in Second Regular-Season NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Thursday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the results of the NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Rating - No. 2. The rating lists Milligan as the top-ranked squad in the land after an idle week. The rating is rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groupings. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 for third-place and so on through the list.
Overall, the Buffaloes earned 550 points in the rating, earning 14 of the 20 first-place votes. Out of the top four schools, Milligan was the lone program to keep their spot from the previous week, atop the rankings.
