Caitlin Dominy tabbed as AAC Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (October 23, 2023) – Milligan University graduate student Caitlin Dominy was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday.

Dominy captured the individual meet title with a personal-best 5k time of 17:29. It marked her first collegiate cross country victory. Dominy's time ranks fifth on Milligan's all-time women's cross country 5k leaderboard.

In a field that featured No. 12 Montreat and No. 23 SCAD Savannah, the No. 2 Buffs took home the meet title with a team score of 23.

Ellen-Mary Kearney was the meet runner-up in 17:35 and Hannah Brown was third with a season-best time of 18:04. Gracie Allen was ninth in 18:24, Zanelle Willemse was 10th in 18:27 and Patricia Barrera crossed 11th with a PB of 18:27.

The Buffs head back to Sequoyah Park for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 3.
