Ellen-Mary Kearney honored as AAC Runner of the Week for third time in 2023

WALESKA, Ga. (September 25, 2023) – Milligan University sophomore Ellen-Mary Kearney was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time in as many races this season.

Kearney took the individual meet title in 17:34, a three-mile team record. Kearney's time surpassed four-time national champion Hannah Segrave's former top mark.

The Buffs swept the top five places in the meet to take the team title with a perfect score of 15. Kearney was followed by Caitlin Dominy (17:44), Hannah Brown (18:04), Gracie Allen (18:16) and Zanelle Willemse (18:24) in the top five.

The Buffs head to Charlotte for the Royals Cross Country Challenge in two weeks.
