WALESKA, Ga. - On Monday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced that Ella Maiden, of Milligan University volleyball, had been named the AAC Defender of the Week after her 20-block week across three more Milligan triumphs.

Maiden rejected 20 swings this week, having had six of them in a five-set thriller over Reinhardt and nine of them in the Buffaloes' most recent victory over Truett McConnell. SHe also had five at Kentucky Christian. Along with those performances, she reached 500 career blocks in her time at Milligan during the win over Truett McConnell.
