Volleyball secures No. 2 seed in AAC tournament with win at TWU
ATHENS, Tenn. (October 31, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team clinched the No. 2 seed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament with a four-set win at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.

ATHENS, Tenn. (October 31, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team clinched the No. 2 seed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament with a four-set win at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.
The Buffs won their 13th-straight game to move to 24-6 on the season and 18-2 in AAC league play. The Buffs went undefeated in October with a dozen wins and no losses. TWU falls to 3-26, 2-19 AAC.
The Bulldogs took the first set 25-22 but the Buffs responded by winning the next three 25-14, 25-13 and 26-24.
Shelby Miller led Milligan's attack with 11 kills. Taylor Pavich posted 10 kills and three service aces. Ella Maiden notched nine kills and nine total blocks (eight solo). Avery Maiden had nine kills and Greyson Stevens had six.
Kolbie Greene racked up 35 assists, 21 digs and four kills. Zoie Larkins had 17 digs and three aces. Riley Brinn added 13 digs.
Milligan closes its regular season on Thursday against Bluefield at 6:30 p.m. in the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
