Volleyball earns AAC sweep at Truett McConnell

CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 28, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team earned a convincing 3-0 victory at Truett McConnell on Saturday afternoon.

The Buffs recorded their 12th-straight win to move to 23-6 on the season and 17-2 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action. Truett McConnell fell to 22-10, 14-5 AAC. Milligan completed its late-season road trip with a pair of wins over the Bears and Reinhardt, who entered the weekend tied for fourth in the conference standings.

The Buffs scored their 12th conference sweep of the season with set scores of 25-20, 25-9 and 25-20.

Avery Maiden racked up 14 kills on a .375 hitting percentage. Shelby Miller posted 10 kills. Ella Maiden added eight kills and three total blocks.

Kolbie Greene racked up 30 assists and 13 digs. Zoie Larkins totaled 13 digs.

The Buffs had 41 kills and a .237 hitting percentage while Truett McConnell had 27 kills at a .043 clip.

The Buffs travel to Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.
