Volleyball sweeps Union in AAC opener
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (September 9, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team blitzed Union on route to a 3-0 victory in the Buffs’ Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opener at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Saturday.

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (September 9, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team blitzed Union on route to a 3-0 victory in the Buffs' Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opener at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The Buffs move to 7-4 on the season and 1-0 in league play. Union falls to 1-9, 1-1 AAC.
Milligan earned the three-set victory with set scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-13.
Ella Maiden turned in a dominant performance with 15 kills on 18 attacks (.778) and two solo blocks. Shelby Miller notched a dozen kills and seven digs. Freshmen Avery Maiden and Addison Varney chipped in with six and five kills respectively.
Kolbie Greene posted 35 assists and five digs. Rachel Falin and Zoie Larkins had eight digs apiece.
Milligan posted a season-high hitting percentage of .424 for the match with 44 kills and just eight errors.
The Buffs host Pikeville on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
