Volleyball sweeps TWU for fourth-straight league win
ATHENS, Tenn. (September 20, 2022) – The Milligan University volleyball team swept its way to a fourth-straight Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.
ATHENS, Tenn. (September 20, 2022) – The Milligan University volleyball team swept its way to a fourth-straight Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.
The Buffs rolled to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 win to move to 7-6 overall and 4-1 in ACC play. TWU fell to 1-13, 0-5 AAC.
The Buffs hit .200 or better and recoded double-digit in all three sets in the victory. Milligan never trailed in either of the first two sets. TWU's only lead of the evening came at 7-6 in the third set, but Milligan scored seven of the next eight points to take the lead for good.
Ella Maiden registered 10 kills on 13 swings without an error for a .769 hitting percentage with four total blocks. Taylor Pavich racked up 10 kills at a .474 clip with two aces. Greyson Stevens had seven kills (.462 hitting percentage) and three blocks.
Paxton Adkins led Milligan with 15 digs. Kolbie Greene totaled 32 assists, 12 digs, aces and three kills.
Milligan travels to Johnson (Tenn.) on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
