Volleyball defeated for first time in 10 matches
Two of the hottest volleyball teams in the Appalachian Athletic Conference met Monday night in a rescheduled contest at Truett McConnell. Carley Gregory led the way with 12 kills, but Milligan University fell in three straights, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.

CLEVELAND, Ga. (Nov. 9, 2020) – Two of the hottest volleyball teams in the Appalachian Athletic Conference met Monday night in a rescheduled contest at Truett McConnell. Carley Gregory led the way with 12 kills, but Milligan University fell in three straights, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.
Both teams entered the match with a recent run of success that helped them rank second in their respective division of the AAC. The loss snapped Milligan's nine-match winning streak while Truett McConnell won for the 11th time in 12 matches, only losing its most recent match at Union in five sets.
Gregory's 12 kills led all attackers, although the Bears put three players in double figures. Following Gregory for Milligan was Sarah Grace Larkey with seven kills and Julia Codispoti with four. Sydney Hurd and Taylor Pavich each tallied 14 assists, and Layla Grant tallied 13 digs.
