Volleyball drops season opener at KCU
The Milligan University women’s volleyball team opened the 2020 season Tuesday night with a loss on the road to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Kentucky Christian University. Milligan brought each set closer than the last, but KCU came away with all three, 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

GRAYSON, Ky. (Sept. 15, 2020) – The Milligan University women's volleyball team opened the 2020 season Tuesday night with a loss on the road to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Kentucky Christian University. Milligan brought each set closer than the last, but KCU came away with all three, 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.
Carley Gregory led the offensive attack with seven kills, the first of five Buffs to record multiple kills. Four Buffs registered six or more digs on the defensive end, led by Sydney Hurd who had eight alongside a team high 13 assists.
Julia Codispoti followed next in the kill column with five kills. Abby Falcone and Elise Gregory each posted four.
Up next, Milligan will be on the road again for a matchup at Columbia College Saturday at 12 p.m.
