Geren and Dockery pick up AAC weekly awards
Seniors Kellee Geren and Julie Dockery were recognized for the Appalachian Athletic Conference players the week honors after an exciting week for the Milligan College volleyball team, defeating Union College to win the AAC North Division. The awards were announced Monday by the AAC office for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 10.

(Nov. 11, 2019) – Seniors Kellee Geren and Julie Dockery were recognized for the Appalachian Athletic Conference players the week honors after an exciting week for the Milligan College volleyball team, defeating Union College to win the AAC North Division. The awards were announced Monday by the AAC office for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 10.
This is Geren's 19th time winning setter of the week and the sixth time this season. Against Union, Geren tallied 38 assists and eight digs. She averaged 12.67 assists a set. Geren so far has a career total of 4,750 assists and holds the school record. This season she has 1,164 assists.
This is Dockery's second time this season winning attacker of the week. Against Union, Dockery recorded 10 kills, five digs and two aces. So far this season Dockery has 253 kills.
Milligan finished the regular season 22-10 (16-4 AAC). They will go into conference play as the No. 3 seed and their first conference tournament game will be on Thursday, Nov. 14, against Montreat at 7:30 p.m.
