Geren wins AAC setter of the week
Senior Kellee Geren of the Milligan College volleyball team has been selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference setter of the week for the week ending Sept. 8.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Sept. 9, 2019) – Senior Kellee Geren of the Milligan College volleyball team has been selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference setter of the week for the week ending Sept. 8.
Geren posted easily the best setting numbers of the week, including a 10.31 assist/set average and 165 totals assists across five matches. Geren set her career high for assists with 63 in a five-set win against Huntington, as Milligan swept the first day of the Music City Invitational in Nashville. This was one of two double-doubles she posted on the week after she tallied 44 assists and 10 digs in the first match of the week, a loss in the Buffs' AAC opener against Bryan College.
On the season, Geren has 335 assists. With 9.8 per set, she leads the rest of the league by a wide margin, and with 53 digs on the season, she ranks in the top 50.
Geren and the Buffs return to action Tuesday at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse for a conference match against Kentucky Christian, the AAC's newest member. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
