Milligan gets swept day two of Music City Invitational
Milligan College volleyball competed in day two of the Music City Invitational held at Fisk University Saturday and dropped both matches to finish the tournament 2-2. The Buffs faced Georgetown College and Indiana University East.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 7, 2019) – Milligan College volleyball competed in day two of the Music City Invitational held at Fisk University Saturday and dropped both matches to finish the tournament 2-2. The Buffs faced Georgetown College and Indiana University East. Carley Gregory earned all-tournament distinction.
First match recap
Milligan fell to Georgetown in three straight sets (26-28, 21-25, 11-25). Abby Falcone led the team in kills with nine, with Alyssa Gibson right behind her with eight. Kellee Geren had 27 assists and Cameron McConnell led the defense with 11 digs.
Georgetown was led offensively by Sarah Snyder who had 10 kills, Brianna Cathers with 33 assists, and Samantha Lincoln on the defensive side with 13 digs.
Second match recap
Gregory led the offensive efforts in game two against IU East with 16 kills but the Buffs fell to the Red Wolves in three sets (20-25, 19-25, 23-25). Geren had 27 assists and Layla Grant had 13 digs on defense.
The Red Wolves were led offensively by Genesis Semfle Milisde with 12 kills, Cali Topoiski with 35 assists, and Taylor McKinney and Breanna Kopke who had 12 digs apiece.

The Buffs return to Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and face Appalachian Athletic Conference newcomer Kentucky Christian. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m. inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
