Dominy Earns Second Team CSC Academic All-America honors
AUSTIN, Texas - For the second straight year, College Sports Communiucators (CSC) has named Milligan's Caitlin Dominy as an Academic All-American. She was named to the Second Team, and is one of 20 total athletes who were recognized for their excellence in the classroom and in their respective sports.
Dominy, moving towards a graduate degree with an emphasis on Counseling, had a 3.74 GPA. She added to that work in the classroom by becoming an All-American in both the cross country and indoor track seasons.
She placed 14th overall in the NAIA Cross Country Championships, while cleaning up the 3000m in the NAIA Indoor Championships with a runner-up finish. During that indoor campaign, she was the Appalachian Athletic Conference's (AAC) champion in both the 3k and the 5k, while posting a runner-up finish in the Mile. Her outdoor conference season was impressive, as well. She was a champion in four separate events at the AAC Outdoor Championships, having topped the podium in the 800m, 1500m, 5k and 10k.
