Lady Buff Hall-of-Famer, Segrave, will Compete for Spot on British Olympic Track Squad
MILLIGAN, Tenn. – Milligan University alumna and former Lady Buff cross country/track runner, Hannah Segrave, is competing at the UK Athletics Championships in Manchester, U.K. for a chance to qualify in the 800m for this summer's British Olympic track & field squad in Paris. She currently runs as part of Atlanta Track Club in Atlanta, Ga.
Segrave's weekend will consist of heats in the 800m on Saturday, June 29, with the official schedule stating a 10:55 a.m. ET start time. With a qualification into the finals, Segrave would run again on Sunday, June 30 at 11:15 a.m. ET.
In her time at Milligan, Segrave was a six-time NAIA All-American in the 800m (3x Indoor, 3x Outdoor), as well as a four-time NAIA national champion in the event. She won the individual title in the 800m in 2016 and 2017 for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
She was inducted into the Milligan Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017, the year that she graduated, becoming the first Buff student-athlete to be inducted prior to her five-year post-graduation consideration period.
