Track & Field registers numerous personal bests over the weekend
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (April 14, 2024) - It was a busy weekend for Milligan University track & field teams as the Buffs registered a number of top-10 finishes and personal bests.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (April 14, 2024) - It was a busy weekend for Milligan University track & field teams as the Buffs registered a number of top-10 finishes and personal bests.
Competing at the UNC-Asheville Bulldog Invite, Will Stockley and Corey Greeson highlighted the standout performances.
Stockley won the men's 3000 steeplechase with a time of 9:15.03. Not only did his time earn him an NAIA 'A' Standard, but it is also the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
Greeson, meanwhile, placed fifth in the men's discus with a toss of 47.34 meters for a personal best and a Milligan program record. On Friday evening, he placed fourth in the hammer with a distance of 41.58 meters.
Keith Fletcher was the only other Buff to earn a first-place finish, winning the men's 110 hurdles with a time of 14.67 seconds.

- Women's 5000 - Cameron Walker, 12th (20:12.68) - personal best; AAC qualifier
- Men's 5000 - Sam Kyker, eighth (16:38.60)
- Men's High Jump - Conner Mowell, eighth (1.80 meters)
- Men's 4x100 relay (Hunter Crook, Fletcher, Evan Hayes, Jeremy Evans) - sixth (42.57)
- Women's 1500 - Rachel Dulaney, 10th (5:05.24) - personal best; AAC qualifier
- Men's 110 Hurdles - Reese Pesterfield, ninth (18.07)
- Women's Triple Jump - Hannah Manns, seventh (10.75 meters); Autumn Stanley, ninth (10.30 meters) - personal best
- Men's 100 - Crook, 10th (10.91) - personal best; JaQuan Williams, 11th (10.99) - personal best; Conner Goodrich, 20th (11.36) - personal best
- Women's 400 Hurdles - Mary Custodio, ninth (74.46) - personal best
- Women's 200 - Megan Christian, 17th (26.40) - personal best
- Men's 200 - Williams, eighth (22.16) - personal best; Hayes, 18th (22.65) - personal best
- Women's Discus - Annika Hoefler, 16th (31.81 meters) - personal best
Milligan also sent a small contingent to the Maryville Scots Invitational.
The Buffs will next compete at the AAC Championship Meet, which runs Thursday through Saturday at Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C.
