Indoor Track competes at JDL College Team Challenge
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (February 8, 2024) – The Milligan University indoor track and field teams sent a select group to the JDL College Team Challenge at the JDL Fast Track on Thursday evening.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (February 8, 2024) – The Milligan University indoor track and field teams sent a select group to the JDL College Team Challenge at the JDL Fast Track on Thursday evening.
"Really thought tonight went well across the board," said head coach Chris Layne. "Wanted to use this to just put the finishing touches on being ready for AACs and felt like we got a great read on being ready to go"
Patricia Barrera captured the meet title in the women's mile in 5:17.57. Hannah Brown followed in second (5:23.95) and Anna Jones crossed fifth in 5:30.47.
Arran Kearney ran to a second-place finish in the 800 in 1:56.42. His converted time met the NAIA provisional national standard. Bryson Lewis placed 12th in 2:01.56.
Alex Brittain finished fourth in the mile in 4:28.04. Dillon Craig finished eighth in 4:35.81.
Both of Milligan's 4x400-meter relays were fourth. Roman Hodgson, Carter Windham, Aaron Gottlied and Sylas Chambers clocked in a 3:32.57. McKenzie Fitzgerald, Hope Krell, Autumn Stanley and Cameron Walker finished in 4:32.33.
The Buffs return to action on Saturday at the Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt.
