Indoor Track competes at VMI Winter Relays
LEXINGTON, Va. (February 3, 2024) – The Milligan University indoor track and field teams had a select group compete at the VMI Winter Relays over the weekend.
LEXINGTON, Va. (February 3, 2024) – The Milligan University indoor track and field teams had a select group compete at the VMI Winter Relays over the weekend.
Keith Fletcher continued his strong indoor campaign with another automatic national qualifying effort in the 60-meter hurdles. He finished as the meet runner-up with a time of 8.14 in the 60 hurdles final.
Romario Taylor was the runner-up in the 400 in 49.26. Ja'Quan Williams finished sixth with a season-best time of 50.16.
Ashlyn Haas and Natalie Fellers notched personal-best times and top-five finishes in the women's 3k. Haas crossed fourth in 10:44.21 and Fellers finished fifth in 10:44.90.
Alex Brittain placed fourth in the 3k in 8:59.12.
Hannah Manns took fifth in the triple jump at 10.52 meters. Connor Mowell finished eighth in the high jump with a season-best mark of 1.81 meters. Kacey Webb was eighth in the weight throw with a top heave of 13.40 meters.
Connor Vanderkolk, Aaron Gottlied, Gran Sexton and Brittain finished fifth in the distance medley relay in 11:03.50.
Milligan returns to action at the Joe LaRocco Invitational at Roanoke next Saturday.
