WALESKA, Ga. - On Monday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference revealed the winners of their Swimmer of the Week honors for Dec. 30-Jan. 5. Milligan swimming swept the awards this week, with Robert Adam and Madison Akbari being named the honorees for the plaudits. 

Adam had a strong showing against University of the Cumberlands this weekend at homen, nabbing a NAIA National Championships qualifying mark in the 200 Individual Medley at 2:08.48. while winning the event by nearly seven seconds. Additionally, he posted a personal-best time of 28.85 in the 50 Breaststroke final, placing second by only five hundredths of a second.

Akbari sizzled in the 50 Freestyle, making it to the final and posting a 27.79 mark, which was good enough to win the event and notch a provisional qualifying clip for the NAIA National Championships.
