Halloran picks up second straight AAC weekly award
For the second week in a row, Milligan College swimmer Maggie Halloran has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. The AAC made the announcement Monday for the week ending Nov. 3.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Nov. 4, 2019) – For the second week in a row, Milligan College swimmer Maggie Halloran has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. The AAC made the announcement Monday for the week ending Nov. 3.
This marked the second time of the season and second time of her career Halloran won the award.
Halloran, a five-time All-American, swam to six wins and three national qualifying marks last week. She won all three races at Emory & Henry College, including the 800 and 200 freestyle back-to-back, as well as the 400 free. Halloran then followed one day later with wins in the 800 free, 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley in a home meet against Lees-McRae College.
Halloran hit national standards in the 100 back, 200 IM and 400 free relay.
Halloran and the Buffs will return to the pool Saturday, Nov. 16, for a head-to-head meet against Randolph College beginning at 1 p.m. After that, they have only one meet left on the schedule prior to the Christmas break.
