Halloran wins AAC Swimmer of the Week
Maggie Halloran of the Milligan College swimming team has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, announced the league office Monday. This marked the first AAC weekly honor of Halloran’s career.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 28, 2019) – Maggie Halloran of the Milligan College swimming team has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, announced the league office Monday. This marked the first AAC weekly honor of Halloran's career.
Halloran, a five-time NAIA All-American and former AAC Athlete of the Year and AAC Freshman of the Year, dominated this weekend. She won all three of her individual races and anchored winning the 200 free relay in which she came from behind to help Milligan win the event. In all, she helped Milligan defeat both Bethel University and host Union College.
Halloran posted a national A cut in the 200 freestyle and national cuts in the 200 backstroke and 500 freestyle as well.
Halloran and the Buffs will be back in the pool twice this week, including a home meet against Lees-McRae College Saturday at 11 a.m. inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
