AAC Recognizes Walcott as Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

WALESKA, GA. - On Monday, the Applachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the recognition of Milligan University women's soccer goalkeeper, Akyla Walcott, as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for her eight-save shutout of No. 5-seeded Johnson on Saturday afternoon, pushing Milligan to the AAC Semifinal round for the first time since 2019.

Walcott earned the honor for the third time this year, and has had eight or more saves in a single game on each occasion. Her perfroamce helped guide the Buffaloes to a 1-0 win over the Royals, as they now head to Truett McConnell for the conference semifinal.
