WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) revealed the winner of this week's AAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Milligan University's Akyla Walcott took the plaudits with a combined total of 19 saves in a pair of shutout wins. 

Walcott posted 15 saves in the Buffaloes' 1-0 triumph over Pikeville on Saturday, whcih was a career-high mark for a single game during her time at Milligan. She helped her squad to a 2-0 week and helped earn them a home game to begin AAC Tournament play. This is the second time this season that Walcott has been honored by the conference in this capacity.
