Women’s Soccer upended at No. 20 Truett McConnell

CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 5, 2022) – The Milligan University women's soccer team was defeated 4-0 by No. 20 Truett McConnell in Georgia on Wednesday night.
Truett McConnell moves to 7-2-1 and 6-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action. The Buffs fall to 2-6-1, 1-5 AAC.
The Bears opened up a 3-0 lead at the half with goals in the 17th, 32nd and 41st minutes. The Buffs managed one shot in the first half, an attempt on target in the 19th minute by Taylor Dawson.
A Milligan corner kick in the 60th minute resulted in a header by Isabella Cranford that flew wide right.
TMU tacked on a goal with 11 minutes to play in regulation to secure a 4-0 victory.
Lauren Davies finished with 11 saves on the evening.
The Buffs host CIU on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
