HARROGATE, Tenn. (September 3, 2022) – The Milligan University women's soccer team fell at Lincoln Memorial 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Milligan concludes its nonconference schedule at 1-1-1. Lincoln Memorial picked up its first win of the season to move to 1-2.
The Rail Splitters took a 1-0 lead in the game's sixth minute and tacked on another goal in the 13th minute. LMU added tallies in the 34th, 37th and 40th minutes to lead 5-0 at the halftime break.
LMU found the back of the net twice in the second half to earn a 7-0 victory.
The Rail Splitters outshot Milligan 26-1 and held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
Autumn Daniels recorded Milligan's lone shot attempt of the game in 57th minute but it was saved.
Milligan begins Appalachian Athletic Conference play at Tennessee Wesleyan next Saturday.
