Kesley Miller and Lauren Davies honored as AAC Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (August 29, 2022) – The Milligan University women's soccer team swept the first set of weekly Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) women's soccer awards as freshman Kelsey Miller and senior Lauren Davies were tabbed as the AAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

In the Buffs' 1-1 draw against Thomas More last week, Miller scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 25th minute. She collected a pass across the midfield line and raced past the Thomas More back line and tucked a shot past the Saints' keeper inside the left post to tie the game at one.

Davies made a career-high 12 saves in the match, including four saves in the final six minutes of regulation to preserve the draw. Davies and the Milligan defense staved off 15 total shots and eight corner kicks to keep Thomas More scoreless in the second half.
