WALESKA, Ga. (September 19, 2021) – The Milligan University women's soccer fell to Point 4-0 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matchup at Reinhardt on Sunday morning.
The Buffs fall to 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in AAC play. Point moves to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in league play.
The matchup between the Buffs and Skyhawks had been scheduled for Saturday evening at Point, but inclement weather and unplayable field conditions bumped the game to Sunday at AAC member Reinhardt.
Point scored twice in the first half and twice more in the second. The Skyhawks scored in the 24th and 37th minutes in the first half, and the 60th and 77th minutes in the second.
Point owned a 17-13 advantage in shots and a 12-7 edge in shots on goal.
Seven different Buffs fired a shot on frame, Autumn Daniels led Milligan with two shots on goal in the contest. Ashlen Burch took three shots, one on goal.
Goalkeeper Lauren Davies made six saves in the loss.
The Buffs return to action Wednesday at Kentucky Christian.
