Milligan ties with Reinhardt in double overtime
The Milligan College women’s soccer team played Reinhardt University Saturday night and went over regulation time into two 10-minute overtimes, but a winner was unable to be determined and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

WALESKA, Ga. (Sept. 21, 2019) – The Milligan College women's soccer team played Reinhardt University Saturday night and went over regulation time into two 10-minute overtimes, but a winner was unable to be determined and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.
Taylor Dawson scored her first goal of the season and the only goal of the night for Milligan on a free kick an hour into regulation play. The freshman defender had two shots on the night.
Reinhardt's goal came in the 76th minute by Adrien Merrilles. The Buffs and the Eagles each had two shot attempts a piece in the first overtime period, and one a piece in the second overtime.
Overall Milligan outshot Reinhardt 17 to 14 and shots on goal 13 to seven. Six different Buffs attempted to get goals on the night, Ellie Cachiaras had five shots, three on goal and Bekah Cundiff had four shots and all four on goal.
The Buffs forced Eagle's goalkeeper to make 12 saves on the night. Milligan goalkeeper Lauren Davies had six saves.
With this draw Milligan's record goes to 2-2-1 (2-0-1 AAC). The Buffs return home on Wednesday to take on Appalachian Athletic Conference champion Truett McConnell.
