WEST POINT, Ga. (Sept. 14, 2019) – The Milligan College women's soccer team picked up their first win of the season Saturday in their Appalachian Athletic Conference opener, beating Point University 2-0.
Bekah Cundiff scored her first goal of the season 20 minutes into the game, and added on another goal seven minutes later to give the Buffs all of the scoring they needed against Point. Ellie Cachiaras assisted Cundiff with the first goal, and Ashlen Burch assisted Cundiff with the second.
The Buffs outshot the Skyhawks 16-10 and 8-6 on goal. Cundiff had the most shots for the team with five, four being on goal, and Alyson McMillan followed behind her with four shots, two being on goal.
Up next, Milligan returns home for another AAC matchup against Union Wednesday, Sept. 18., at 5 p.m.
