MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Sept. 7, 2019) – The Milligan College women's soccer team lost 6-2 against No. 6 Lindsey Wilson on Saturday night at Anglin Field.
Lindsey Wilson scored first at the 10-minute mark but freshman Audra Morgan answered with her first collegiate goal 20 seconds after to tie the game 1-1. That was all the scoring Lindsey Wilson allowed Milligan in the first half as the Blue Raiders scored three more goals in the first half to make the score going into halftime 4-1. Lindsey Wilson outshot Milligan in the first half 13-6.
The Blue Raiders added two more goals to make the score 6-1 but senior Dharma Fawbush decreased the lead with her first goal of the season in the 78th minute. Lindsey Wilson outshot Milligan in the second half 7-5.
The Blue Raiders were led by Emelie Liljered who had two goals, and Flavia Laich and Sina Cavelti who had one goal and two assists apiece.
Milligan travels to Point University on Saturday, Sept. 14, to open up Appalachian Athletic Conference play. The Buffs will return home and face Union College on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for their first AAC home game of the season.
