No. 10 Milligan Women's Golf Places Tenth at Music City Classic
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Milligan University's No. 10-ranked women's golf squad competed in the Music City Classic at The Hermitage Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday. The competition included 12 teams ranked in the top 25 in the nation, as well as two others receiving votes. Milligan ended the event by posting a 10th-place finish.
The Buffaloes' top individual finisher was Mallory TeVrucht, who tied for 30th with a tournament total of 225 strokes across three rounds, which was nine shots over par.
Just one stroke behind TeVrucht was Sarah Castle, who took a total of 226 strokes. She tied for 34th at 10 over par.
Then, it was Kate Castle who tied for 38th, amassing 227 strokes. With that effort, the top three Buffaloes were within two strokes of each other.
Bailey McGaha (T-53rd, 234, +18) and Catalina Easley (T-64th, 237, +21) were the last two Milligan players that finished. As an individual player, Liz Miller tied for 64th, as well.
Next on the schedule is the AAC Spring Championship & NAIA Direct Qualifier on Apr. 14-15 at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Ga.
