KANSAS CITY, Mo. (MAY 3, 2024) - Milligan University women's golf is going to nationals.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the competing teams and individuals for the 29th Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, running from May 14-17 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., and the Buffaloes received an at-large berth.
The 156-player field consists of 19 automatic qualifying teams, who won their respective conference/independent tournament or were ranked in the final Top 25 for the conference's second automatic berth. Automatic berths are given to conferences that have six or more schools declared at the beginning of the season. Conferences with 12+ schools who finish the conference tournament are eligible for a second automatic qualifier, as long as the second team is rated in the final regular-season Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
Eleven teams reached the championship field through an at-large selection. At-large teams were determined using the final regular-season Coaches' Top 25 Poll released today. Milligan checked in at No. 18 in the poll.
First and second-round pairings and tee times for the championships will be released on Monday, May 6 on NAIA.org.
