Women's Golf posts second-place showing

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - Milligan University women's golf registered a second-place finish at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate this weekend.
The two-day, three-round event was held at the Heritage Hill Golf Course in Shepherdsville, Ky., and hosted by Lawrence Tech University (Mich.).
Milligan posted a 71-over 935 to land second. Only 10th-ranked Marian University (Ind.) finished ahead of Milligan as it won the tournament with a 38-over 902.
Kate Castle led the Buffaloes by earning All-Tournament Team honors as she tied for fourth. The Mt. Juliet, Tenn., junior posted a 12-over 228.
Mallory TeVrucht tied for seventh with a 16-over 232, while Gabby Hammond finished 13th with a 23-over 239. Sarah Castle was next in line, placing 14th with a 25-over 241.
The Buffaloes are back in action on April 2 when they host the Northeast Tennessee Collegiate at the Johnson City Country Club.
