No. 11 Women’s Golf finishes third at Eagle Match Play Invitational

LOUDON, Tenn. (October 11, 2022) – The No. 11 Milligan University women's golf team took third at the eight-team Eagle Match Play Invitational at Tennessee National on Monday and Tuesday.

The Buffs went 2-1 in three rounds of match play. Milligan defeated Faulkner 4-0-1 before falling to No. 10 Loyola (La.) 3-1-1 in the winner's bracket. In the third place match, Milligan defeated No. 19 Cumberlands. No. 3 Dalton State took the match play title with a victory over Loyola in the championship match.

Mallory TeVrucht, Gabby Hammond, Kate Castle and Alayna Perryman each went 2-1 over the course of the event.

The Buffs wrap up their fall schedule in two weeks at the AAC Fall Preview Championship at the Link Hills Country Club.
