No. 11 Women’s Golf makes cut at NAIA National Championship for second-straight year
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (May 26, 2022) – The No. 11 Milligan University women’s golf team completed most of its first two rounds at the NAIA National Championship at the Lincoln Park West Golf Course in Oklahoma City on Thursday.

When the dust settled, the Buffs made the cut for the second-straight year and third time overall in school history at the NAIA National Championships. Milligan checked in at 16th in the team standings after two rounds of action. The top 17 teams and top 40 individuals advance to the final round at the NAIA National Championship
After the first round was rained out and yesterday's shotgun start delayed, Milligan concluded its first round Thursday morning and rolled right into round two. The Buffs sat tied for 12th with a 306 in round one and improved by two strokes with a 304 in round two to settle two spots ahead of the cut line at 610 strokes.
Kate Castle posted the top round of the day for Milligan with an even-par 72 in round two. Her 36-hole total of 150 strokes has her 34th in the individual standings.
Alayna Perryman turned in a two round total of 152 (75-77) to sit 48th. Sarah Castle follows a stroke behind in 58th after rounds of 75 and 78.
Meryl Castle makes it four Buffs in the top half of the 155-player field. She ranks in 74th-place at 155 (77-78) strokes. In the final lineup slot, Gabby Hammond fired an 80 in round one and Emma Brown posted an 86 in round two.
The Buffs look to climb the leaderboard in the final round of the NAIA National Championship tomorrow.
