No. 18 Women’s Golf wins AAC Fall Championship Preview
ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. (October 26, 2021) – The Milligan University women’s golf team captured first place at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Championship Preview by four strokes at the at the Barnsley Gardens Resort on Tuesday.

The No. 18 Buffs took home the Fall Championship for the second-straight year and have the inside track on securing the regular season title, which is determined by the overall scores of the fall and spring conference championships. The Buffs have posted a top-two finish at the AAC Fall Championship for the ninth-straight year.
The Buffs entered Tuesday's final round with a three-stroke lead after shooting 321 through the first 18 holes. Milligan posted a 326, the second-lowest score of round two to finish at 647 strokes, four strokes ahead of No. 13 SCAD-Atlanta and five strokes in front of (RV) Truett McConnell.
Reigning AAC Player of the Year Alayna Perryman logged a plus-five 78 for the second-straight day to finish tied for third at 156 stokes and secure all-tournament honors alongside teammate Kate Castle. Castle followed yesterday's 77 with a 79 to earn a top-five showing in her first AAC Championship appearance.
Gabby Hammond notched a top-10 finish as an individual after carding a 164 (81-83) to finish eighth in the two-round tournament.
Sarah Castle tied for 13th after shooting 84 in both rounds to finish at 168 strokes. Meryl Castle and Emma Brown tied for 15th at 169 strokes.
Jenny Simonsen tied for 17th and Danielle Mirovich made it eight top-25 finishers with a 24th-place showing in her final collegiate tournament.
Truett McConnell's MinJi Kang took first in the 61-golfer field
The Buffs return to competition in spring 2022.
