No. 18 Women’s Golf leads AAC Fall Championship by three strokes after day one
ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. (October 25, 2021) – The No. 18 Milligan University women’s golf team holds a three-stroke lead after the first round of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Championship Preview at the Barnsley Gardens Resort on Monday.

The Buffs posted an 18-hole team score of 321 on the par-13, 5,812 yard course. In second place is (RV) Truett McConnell at 324 strokes. No. 13 SCAD-Atlanta and Tennessee Wesleyan are six strokes back with a team score of 327.
The Buffs placed four players inside the top 10 through the first day of the AAC Fall Championship and seven inside the top 16 in the 61-player field.
Freshman Kate Castle sits in a three-way tie for second place after shooting a four-over 77 on Monday.
Alayna Perryman carded a 78 and is tied for fifth. Gabby Hammond, playing as an individual, is eighth after logging an 81.
Emma Brown also posted a top-10 first round with an 82, good for ninth.
Jenny Simonsen, Danielle Mirovich and Sarah Castle all recorded 84s on Monday and are tied for 16th.
All eight Buffs at the event finished among the top 25 on day one as Meryl Castle tied for 25th with an 86.
Truett McConnell's MinJi Kang leads the tournament by two strokes after logging a two-over 75.
The AAC Fall Championship concludes tomorrow with the final round at Barnsley Gardens Resort.
