No. 10 Women’s Golf in third after day one of East Tennessee Collegiate

The Buffs' top unit posted a round one 318 and sits three strokes back of SCAD-Atlanta and No. 20 Cumberlands, who lead with 315 strokes.
Senior Jenny Simonsen, playing as an individual, posted the Buffs' top overall score of an even-par 72. She stands atop the 62-player field alongside Maria Neira of Cumberlands and Pikeville's Boo Newsome.
Senior Alayna Perryman led the way for Milligan "A" in seventh place with a plus-four 76. Emma Brown is tied for 10th through 18 holes at 79.
Izzy Greggs is in 19th after shooting 81 and Kate Castle is a stroke back in 20th with an 82.
Milligan "B" finished the day with 325 strokes, good for sixth in the 12-team field.
Freshman Sarah Castle finished day one in ninth with a 78. Gabby Hammond carded an 80, tied for 13th.
Day two of the East Tennessee Collegiate continues tomorrow.
