Emily Cheesman won her second tournament title of the season and Laci MacQuisten joined her on the all-tournament team with a fourth-place individual showing.
Cheesman earner her second-straight first-place finish as she racked up 1,204 total pins over six games to take the individual crown by three pins. Cheesman went over 200 three times with a high of 241 and posted a tournament average of 200.67 pins.
"Emily Cheesman is just a force right now," said head coach Brian Rickert. "She is beating some of the top ladies in the country and will definitely make a case for top freshman in the nation".
MacQuisten posted a 259 in her final individual game to vault into the top-five and finish with 1,192 pins (198.67 average).
"Laci has been close many times this year and just couldn't catch a break in game five," said Rickert. "We decided not to make any moves going into game six and she put together a fantastic string of strikes to move into the all-tournament team. So proud of her!"
Elizabeth Coutta rolled three games over 200 on her way to an 11th-place individual finish. She cleared 1,163 pints (193.83 average) with a high of 212.
As a team, Milligan cleared 5,578 pins in individual play and 3,035 pins over 16 baker games. Milligan's overall total of 8,613 was second only to tournament champion Tennessee Southern. In baker play, the Buffs exceeded 200 pins six times with a high of 224.
"These ladies are the closest group of women I've had the pleasure of coaching," said Rickert. "The way they push each other, cheer for each other and support one another is just a wonderful thing to watch. This is a special team no matter if we finish first, second or last."
Milligan bowling travels to Las Vegas in December for the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 18-19) and the Collegiate Shoot Out (Dec. 20-21).
