Jenkins Selected to NAIA All-America Third Team for Lady Buffs Basketball
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Monday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the women's basketball All-America Teams. Milligan University's Jaycie Jenkins was recognized as NAIA All-America Third Team for the first time in her five-year career after her banner season.
Jenkins had an amazing season, one which has hardly been achieved before at Milligan. She carried a 54.8% clip from the field and shot three-point jumpers at 49.2%, while also boasting an otherworldly 93.1% at the charity stripe. During the year, Jenkins reached 2,000 points for her career, and now ends her career with 2,411 points. That total is third in Milligan women's basketball history. She led the team in rebounding, as well, grabbing 7.9 per game this season. In her final year of competition, Jenkins made her first NAIA All-America team, though she was recognized as NAIA All-America Honorable mention in 2021-22.
