Milligan Women's Basketball Receives Votes in Fourth NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll of 2024-25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Wednesday afternoon, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the fourth NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the 2024-25 campaign. The Milligan University Lady Buffs were recognized by receiving five votes for the poll, and are the lone Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) institution listed.
It has been a prodigious last 35 days for the Milligan squad, who have gone 5-1 in that span with their only loss coming to then No. 10-ranked Georgetown (Ky.). Additionally, they picked up two standout wins against No. 7-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) (90-89 OT) and (RV) Johnson (107-85) to give them additional credibility for the upcoming poll.
The Buffs continue their campaign tonight, Jan. 15, against the Bears of the University of Pikeville. They are looking to avenge a loss to UPIKE in their previous meeting in Kentucky in the first AAC battle of the season.
