Lauren Longmire and Semaj Clark receive all-conference honors
WALESKA, Ga. (February 21, 2023) – Milligan University women’s basketball players Lauren Longmire and Semaj Clark collected all-conference honors as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced its all-conference teams and awards on Tuesday evening.

Longmire collected All-AAC First Team status while Clark was named to the AAC All-Freshmen Team.
Longmire enjoyed a standout sophomore season as she led the Buffs in scoring, rebounding and assists. She started all 28 games, led the team in minutes per game (29.7) and averaged 14.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Longmire was the 13th-leading scorer in the AAC and ranked 10th in field goals made (142) and ninth in free throws made (80). She ranked in the top 25 in field goal percentage (43.4), three-point percentage (33.3) and free throw percentage (72.7). She scored in double-figures 20 times, including five 20-point outings and a career-high 34 points at Kentucky Christian.
Clark secured a spot on the AAC All-Freshman Team as she emerged as one of the most efficient players in the conference in her debut season. She averaged 8.4 points per game and ranked sixth in the AAC in field goal percentage (49.2) and three-point percentage (41.3). She averaged 10.4 points per game in January and February and had 11 double-digit outings. Clark memorably shot seven-of-seven from the field and five-of-five from three on her way to 19 points in a Buffs' win over then first-place Reinhardt.
Kayla Romines was named to the AAC's Champions of Character Team and was one of 13 players awarded AAC All-Academic status. Sierra Bailey, Regan Bollant, Gracie Crabtree, Kristy Galea, Tessa Gibson, Kaylee Hendrickson, Jaycie Jenkins, Erin Larkin, Longmire, Romines, Madi Runnels, Shayla Stewart and Stacia Wilson each collected all-academic honors.
Milligan posted a 19-9 regular season record and finished third in the AAC with a 19-9 league mark. The Buffs take on No. 6 seed Montreat in the AAC Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at the Meadowview Marriott in Kingsport.
