Women’s Basketball downs St. Andrews for fourth-straight win
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (December 7, 2022) – The Milligan University women’s basketball team rolled to an 80-48 victory over St. Andrews on Wednesday evening in the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

The Buffs picked up their fourth-consecutive Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) victory to move to 8-2 on the season and 6-1 in AAC action. St. Andrews falls to 2-9, 2-7 AAC.
Emma Harig paced the Buffs with 19 points on nine-of-10 shooting in 14 minutes of action. Kayla Romines had 11 points and five rebounds and Stacia Wilson had 11 points and nine boards.
The team teams were tied at eight through the first 5:30 of the contest. The Buffs closed the quarter with a 14-2 spurt that was bookended by three-pointers by Kaylee Hendrickson and Lauren Longmire.
Milligan grew its lead to 20 points (37-17) as with 2:29 left in the half Harig converted four consecutive baskets for the Buffs in what was a 13-0 run to close the half. Milligan led 44-17 at the break.
The Buffs extended their lead to 30 (53-23) on a three-pointer by Aida Castell Munoz and Milligan carried a 56-32 advantage into the fourth quarter. Eight different players scored for Milligan in the final frame as the Buffs secured the 80-48 win.
The Buffs outrebounded St. Andrews 47-27, had 21 assists on the evening and totaled 38 bench points.
Milligan travels to Bryan for a much-anticipated AAC matchup on Saturday.
