Women’s Basketball overwhelms Union 88-56
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (December 3, 2022) – Six players scored in double-digits as the Milligan University women’s basketball team overwhelmed Union 88-56 on Saturday afternoon at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

The Buffs set season-highs in scoring, field goal percentage, assists and margin of victory. Milligan moves to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) league play. Union falls to 2-9, 2-6 AAC.
Lauren Longmire, Stacia Wilson, Kayla Romines, Madi Runnels, Kaylee Hendrickson and Semaj Clark all scored in double-figures on the day.
Longmire had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Wilson contributed 12 points on six-of-eight shooting with seven boards and three steals. Romines, Runnels, Hendrickson and Clark each chipped in 10 points.
The Buffs were 34-of-62 (54.8 percent) from the field, nine-of-17 (52.9 percent) from deep and a perfect 11-of-11 from the foul line.
After a mostly even first quarter, Milligan closed the first quarter with a 6-0 run to lead 21-13 after 10 minutes. The Buffs' advantage grew to 17 (39-22) at the half and a 32-point third quarter had Milligan ahead by 30-plus and as many as 36 points in the fourth quarter.
The Buffs outrebounded Union 41-26 and had 20 assists on 34 made field goals.
Milligan hosts St. Andrews on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
