Jaycie Jenkins honored as AAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (November 15, 2021) – Milligan University sophomore Jaycie Jenkins was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (November 15, 2021) – Milligan University sophomore Jaycie Jenkins was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Jenkins averaged 25.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in three double-digit AAC wins for the Buffs las tweek. She shot 53.7 percent for the seek and shot 16-of-17 from the free throw line.
Jenkins notched 22 points and seven rebounds against Johnson (Tenn.), 28 points and 12 rebounds at St. Andrews and 27 points and 12 rebounds verses Brenau.
Jenkins leads the AAC in free throw attempts, free throws made and blocks. She ranks second in the conference in scoring and rebounding.
Milligan is off to a 4-0 start in AAC play and hosts undefeated Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.
