WEST POINT, Ga. (Feb. 6, 2021) – Jaycie Jenkins scored 15 points while Malarie Tallent scored 10, but the Milligan University women's basketball team fell at Point University, 75-57, Saturday afternoon on the road.
The game featured only two ties and one lead change as Point erased a four-point Milligan lead midway through the first quarter with a 41-16 run to help the Skyhawks go into the break ahead by 17. Milligan trimmed the lead only as low as 12 in the second half before a 12-4 Point run put the Buffaloes down by 20 in the fourth quarter.
Jenkins scored her 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting and added a team high six rebounds. Kaylee Hendrickson scored six points alongside a career high six rebounds and four assists.
Up next, Milligan comes home twice next week to face Truett McConnell on Tuesday and Kentucky Christian on Thursday. Both games are set to tip at 5 p.m. and can be followed online at milliganbuffs.com.
